The Traceable Manuscript Letters lower and upper case edition card set contains 29 cards, 4″ x 6″, with the 26 letters. The vowels are blue and the consonants are pink. The y is presented as both a vowel and a consonant. In addition to teaching writing, these cards can be used to teach early reading skills such as phonics instruction and blending sounds to make easy words. There are also several additional reference cards to show paths for writing, and to provide ideas on how to use the decks. The cards are made from durable cover stock. The texturing is integrated with the printing, providing a distinctive, tactile, surface that is also smoother than, for example, sandpaper. By using these cards in an instructional program, the students can be confident and capable before they start writing with pencil and paper.
