The teachers’ edition, with over 400 cards, includes phonograms, words, spelling rules, grammar rules, and Latin and Greek roots, prefixes, and suffixes. The backs of the cards also have word lists, meanings, mnemonics, and pronunciation guides. Use this deck to teach reading, and to develop vocabulary through morphology and grammar, with students K-12.

The cards are appropriate for early and experienced learners. By using them in individual or small group settings, you will be able to introduce each concept (such as soft-c /s/, or hard-c /k/, or the root “struct”). You can present the phonology and morphology concepts using the rules and examples on the back of the cards in this deck, and then have your students reinforce their learning by writing the concept and examples on the back of the corresponding card from the student edition deck.

This deck is also available in a larger size – 4″x6″. An accompanying student deck is also available. Suggested use is to buy a single teacher’s deck (either size) and enough student decks so that each student has their own.
